A dance fitness workshop that focuses on strength and technique in a fun and energetic way! Students will work up a sweat through the use of exercises that focus on muscle memory and follow the beat of the music.
Emma O'Mahony from the Odette School of Ballet calls on her experience teaching ballet and modern dance, mixed with her gym experience as a teacher of TRX, resistance training and circuit training. This class is a fun mix of styles that will increase student's strength and aerobic fitness! Emma is a Royal Academy of Dance ballet teacher with her own ballet school in North Dublin. She has additional training in the Progressing Ballet Technique and modern dance. Previous to establishing her ballet school, Emma worked as fitness instructor in a gym teaching a multitude of classes and also providing one-to-one training. Emma has combined her love of fitness and ballet into a dance workshop! Emma has taught 'Dance Fitness' in the renowned CoisCéim studio in Dublin 1. She also teaches 'Silver Swans' ballet and her class has gained extensive media attention nationally. Emma is an upbeat teacher with a love of everything dance! She believes in encouraging and preparing students to have a successful and enjoyable experience of dance. This workshop will give students the tools and skills to do just that!
