A drama workshop for 8-12 year olds that encourages them to summon their inner confidence through voice and movement exercises. It promises to be fun and energetic and is led by one of the Gaiety School of Acting’s professional Young Gaiety tutors.
The workshop is provided with live percussion. In West Africa, this dance is danced by everyone making it possible for anyone, with or without dance experience, to join. The movements can be danced as gentle as you need or as wide and deep as you feel.

Los Angeles choreographer, Kobi, has worked with Beyonce and Britney Spears. Kobi's contemporary dance combines elements of several dance genres including Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, and Ballet. Dancers are inspired to connect the mind and the body through fluid or sharp dance movements.
Monica will teach a contemporary dance class suitable for all levels. Starting with a warmup exploring principles of the technique, students will learn exciting contemporary dance sequences through which they can explore their creativity, expression and dynamic movement, giving them a window into the training we provide at the Irish World Academy.
